The body of an 80-year-old woman was found after a building fire in Ilorin, Kwara state.
The Kwara State Fire Department said the fire started at 43 Adegboye Street, behind the Federal Secretariat Building, East Ilorin, Destiny District, Ilorin.

The State Fire Service confirmed the incident in a statement signed by Hasan Adekunle, Director of Media and Public Relations.
The statement said the fire was reported by Mo Oni around 3pm Sunday.
βThe cause of the fire is not yet known,β the statement said. One of the four apartments in the building was damaged.
A woman in her 80s was taken out of the building and is believed to have died before the fire could be extinguished, and was eventually extinguished.β
It was previously reported that a fire engulfed the apartment building of Olanipekun Hospital, across from Oyeleke Memorial College in Opa, State.
The fire engulfed the 16-bedroom multi-story building. Eight bedrooms were completely destroyed by fire.
Fire authorities said the total estimated value of property salvaged during the accident was estimated at around NZ$62.8 million, while the value of lost property was estimated at NZ$17.2 million.
State fire departments are urging residents to be more careful at home.
