Guinea-Bissau is at the center of Group A of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
This follows their 1-0 win over Sao Tome & Principe on Wednesday in the Portuguese derby. Sao Tome conceded home advantage to Guinea-Bissau because its own stadium was deemed unsuitable for international competition.
The win brings them to 10 points after playing five points clear of the Super Eagles. Zinho Gano scored in the 55th minute to give Guinea Bissau three points.
They will book a place in their fourth AFCON tournament if Sierra Leone fail to beat Nigeria in the other group match on Sunday.
