His message came as Muslims around the world were celebrating this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid-el-Fitr: Be compassionate to the needy – Mimiko .
Mimiko, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Media, John Paul Akinduro, said the joyous celebration of Eid provides another opportunity to restore the bonds of kinship and peace, show patience and compassion for each other them.
While wishing Muslims a happy eid-ul-fitr, the former governor also prayed for God’s endless blessings for Nigeria and its citizens. “As we exchange gifts and special parties with our loved ones, let’s remember that
eid-el-fitr is also a time of forgiveness, kindness and compassion; time to make peace with neighbors, relatives and friends, and settle disputes. In doing so, we will build a strong, resilient and sustainable country,” he said.
