Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of presidential candidate Bol Tinubu, said Wednesday she begged the wife of her husband’s running mate, Hajji Nana Shettim, for NZ$2 million.
Olu Remi said this to refute the opinion of many who believed that her family was wealthy and that her husband was popular because of his money.
Olu Remy, a former senator from Lagos, made the announcement in Abuja on Thursday at a meeting at the City Hall with her disability.
“When he says he has the world’s money, I just wonder,” she says. Mrs. Shettima knows that yesterday I begged her for her 2 million AD,” she said. She attributed Tinubu’s generosity to his popularity rather than money.
