The man, Sadiq Ahmed, from Abuja Road in Yola Town, Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, said on Tuesday that he had sexual relations with a neighboring miner after drinking the local liquor. called burukutu. This happened on Monday, June 12.
The man who was arrested by the police in Adamawa state explained what happened at the police headquarters on Tuesday, explaining that he committed the crime while under the influence of alcohol.
He said that he did not take anything illegal other than burukutu (an intoxicating drink made from Guinea corn (Sorghum bicolor) kernels and boiled millet) and that he deeply regretted doing so.
The Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest of Sadiq Ahmed, explaining that the suspect was arrested after the victim’s father filed a complaint.
The father told the police that the suspect came to his house when he was not with other family members and gave his daughter N10, took her and molested her.
