Liverpool striker Jamie Carragher has sent a clear warning to West Ham United boss Declan Rice against joining Arsenal this summer.
Carragher has warned Rice that there is no guarantee he will win trophies at Arsenal if he joins the Gunners this summer from West Ham. Rice is keen to leave West Ham this summer after leading the Hammers to win the Europa Conference League in the 2022/23 season.
The English footballer has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United. City brought the Gunners back to a thrilling title before completing a historic treble with the FA Cup and Champions League.
“It’s tough on Declan Rice, I think Harry Kane falls into that as well, they’re at clubs that might not be fighting for the Premier League or the League Cup,” Carragher told Metro UK. “But unless you go to Man City, there’s no guarantee you’ll win the cup you want.
“But you want to give yourself a chance and the tough question for Arsenal going forward next season is whether it’s a bad performance or whether they can be consistent and run teams hand game because it is not long.
“I always thought he [Declan Rice] would end up at Chelsea, but he could go to Arsenal and it would be good for him. It’s a step up from what they have, but it’s not. There’s no guarantee he will will do. win big trophies with them.
