Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Senator Pa Ayo Adebanjo, chairman of the Yoruba socio-political umbrella group Afenifere, said the Nigerian passion for Labor Party’s Peter Obi is unlike any other candidate. I repeated that they were different.
Adebanjo made the statement while answering questions on Arise TV’s national news program on Thursday.
He reiterated that it was the Southeast’s turn to produce the president, saying he was the first to scream about it.
Adebanjo said, “Well, I believe those who like to follow the trajectory of the Nigerian election should know why we support Peter Obi. Of course, you have to remember that I was the first to shout that it was Southeast’s turn. At that time the parties had not yet held the primaries, but I was just thinking about the constitutionality, logic and fairness of the Nigerian political situation since independence days.
“All the passion for obi is incomparable to others. It is a historical, philosophical, logical and constitutional issue and a matter of inclusion if you sincerely want to keep Nigeria together.”
